About Me
As a WFM/WIM-Elect and a dedicated member of the Philippine Women's Chess Team since 2014, my life has been dedicated to chess. My experience spans from competing on the international stage at events like the World Chess Olympiad to playing in professional leagues. Beyond the board, I hold a degree in Education, majoring in Sports and Recreational Management, which gives me a unique perspective on crafting effective and tailored training programs.
Playing Experience
- I have represented the Philippines on the world stage since 2014, earning numerous medals and titles in international competitions.
- World Chess Olympiad: A 4-time World Chess Olympiad Player (2016, 2018, 2022, 2024), earning a WIM norm and helping the team win a gold medal in Category B.
- Southeast Asian Games (SEA): A 3-time SEA Games medalist across multiple events, including two silver medals in 2023.
- World & Asian Champion: World Schools U17 Champion (2015) and Asian Schools Champion (2015).
- ASEAN Age-Group: Earned a direct WIM title and a WGM norm, winning a combined 11 gold medals across two championships (2014, 2018).
- National Champion: Philippine National Women's Chess Champion (2018).
- Collegiate Career: A 3-time UAAP Champion Team member and a UAAP Most Valuable Player.
Teaching Experience
- I have been teaching players of all levels since 2017, and as the Head Coach of the Santa Rosa Chess Team, I've had the privilege of guiding my students to significant success. Through personalized training and strategic coaching, I've helped my students achieve notable results and earn prestigious titles.
- WFM Franchesca Largo: Recently earned her direct WFM title by topping the U20 section at the prestigious ASEAN+ Age Group Chess Championships. She is also a Palarong Pambansa Champion and the first player in a national event to achieve a perfect 13-0 score.
- WFM Jemaicah Yap Mendoza: A standout player who earned her WFM title by achieving her final norm at the Singapore International Open Group A. She also scored an exceptional 8.5/9 at the 9th Eastern Asia Youth Chess Championships 2025 and has consistently contributed gold medals yearly in International Age Group Tournaments.
- WNM Kaye Lalaine Regidor: 2022 World Schools Silver medalist, National Champion in U14 girls in the Philippines, and a yearly contributor of gold medals in ASEAN Age Group tournaments.
- NM Mark Gabriel Usman: A national master who has consistently proven his talent by contributing gold medals yearly in International Age Group Tournaments and Local yearly tournaments. Other experiences Doing group sessions for students in Sta. Rosa either in-person or online, have one-on-one preparations for each player, and organize the tournaments that the players compete in.
